The Air Cadets offers opportunities and experiences that most people can only dream about. The Air Cadets gives you a platform to show off what you’re really capable of and reach your true potential – you may even surprise yourself with what you can achieve!
It’s important to note that the Air Cadets is not a recruiting organisation for the Services, but it’s great if being a Cadet sparks an interest in joining up. All we are interested in is you and your potential, and we are here to help every step of the way on your cadet career.
Aside from the flying, gliding, shooting, adventure training and great fun, you will soon learn that the being a cadet is incredibly rewarding. You will have the opportunity to learn to play in a band, achieve BTEC qualifications, become First Aid trained and achieve all levels of your Duke of Edinburgh award.
Our Squadron motto is ‘Superbia in Progressum’ which is latin for ‘Pride in Progress’ and as a Cadet you will be expected to have pride in yourself, your squadron and the community you are in. As with any military youth organisation, you will be expected to be disciplined and well mannered.
Don’t be afraid of taking your first step – it may be the best decision you ever made!
The next Squadron Open Evening will be in March 2015
