As a squadron we have been quite successful in having cadets attend the Nijmegen marches over the past few years. This year Cadet Sergeant Smith-Maddocks, Cadet Flight Sergeant Robinson and Cadet Warrant Officer Whyatt attended the grueling four day march.
They were among 45,000 who took part in the marches. Sergeant Smith-Maddocks said “it was by far the hardest and most physically demanding activity I have taken part in during my time in the corps.”
Those who partake in the marches are greeted by an estimated million people over the four 25 mile days. CWO Whyatt said, “There is an overwhelming sense of pride and achievement when passing the finish line.”
