Stockport Teenager Blake Noden has reached new heights in his Air Cadet career, having been promoted to the most senior cadet rank in the Air Training Corps (ATC), Cadet Warrant Officer.
Blake(18) who joined 162 (Stockport) Squadron at the age of thirteen has successfully progressed through the cadet ranks and now joins the elite list of those that have held the highest possible Air Cadet rank.
Flight Lieutenant Lee Moore said “Cadet Warrant Officer Noden’s promotion is as a result of his exceptional commitment to the ATC. He works really hard in all aspects of Squadron life and has a list of personal achievements gained through the ATC that show how much he deserves this promotion.”
Blake, in his time in the ATC, has achieved his Corps Marksmanship Badge, is a Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Holder and has been a member of the Air Cadet National Marching Band. He has also been selected to be the Greater Manchester Wing representative on the International Air Cadet Exchange (IACE) in The Netherlands this July.
Blake said of his promotion. “I am honoured to have been promoted to Cadet Warrant Officer and I will continue to strive to do my best in all that I do. I am passionate in sharing my experiences and knowledge to all cadets so that they can understand and enjoy the fun in being part of 162 (Stockport) Squadron.”
